The Information Communication Technology (ICT) Department is a support service department within the operations of the Bureau. The ICT department develops and maintains the information technology infrastructure and supports applications. Beyond hardware and software we provide leadership, professional direction, expertise and assistance in the area of Information Technology and Information Systems to all departments of the Bureau and to external clients.
The department has two main units to carry out its functions, Infrastructure support unit and Application support management.
Tekena holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering and a Post Graduate diploma in Electronics Engineering from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology. He is a Cisco Certified Network Engineer.
Tekena is a seasoned professional with more than 15 years oil and gas industry experience in both Upstream and Midstream businesses, covering diverse disciplines but not limited to Information Communication Technology (ICT). He has attended procurement courses in Nigeria and overseas. Tekena is the Head, ICT Department of the Rivers State Bureau on Public Procurement.
