Okrika Local Government Council – Bid Opening for Key Infrastructure Projects
The Okrika Local Government Council has successfully conducted the Bid Opening Exercise for two major infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing community development and public service delivery.

- Construction of the Kalioama Jetty and Passenger Waiting Lounge
- Construction of the Okrika Central Library
The bid opening session was conducted in a transparent, structured, and accountable manner, reflecting the Council’s firm commitment to due process and responsible governance.
The event was witnessed by representatives of participating bidders, relevant Council staff, the Rivers State Bureau on Public Procurement (RsBoPP), members of the Bid Evaluation Committee, key stakeholders, and the press/public. Their presence reinforced the fairness and credibility of the procurement process. These projects mark significant steps toward improving transportation infrastructure and expanding educational resources in Okrika. Once executed, they are expected to contribute to improved mobility, community learning, and overall socio-economic growth within the Local Government Area.
